David Cottrell is in his tenth season as Head Men’s Basketball Coach at Temple High School.This will be Coach Cottrell’s twenty-third year teaching and coaching. Coach Cottrell has been a Head Basketball Coach for the past seventeen years at three different high schools. Over the past nine seasons as the Head Basketball Coach of Temple High School he has led the tigers to 8 state tournament appearances, Last season Coach Cottrell Led the tigers to a 24-6 overall record highlighted with winning a Region Championship and an Elite 8 appearance in the state tournament.
Coach Cottrell received his B.S. Degree from the University of North Alabama and his Masters Degree from Jacksonville State University.
Coach Cottrell and his wife Misty have one son Cole(11). Cole is in 6th grade at Temple Middle school.
