New Graduation Requirements (2008-2009 9th graders and after)
Parent Conferences - Parents are invited to meet with teachers and guidance counselors to discuss any concerns. Appointments may be made through the Guidance Office.
Guidance Office - The Guidance Counselors are available to students and parents in the matters involving curriculum planning, career counseling, post-secondary advisement, referrals, consultation, individual and group counseling, standardized testing, scholarships and general information. Students should be encouraged to visit the Guidance Office.
Attendance - Students are encouraged to attend school regularly. More than seven absences in a semester requires an appeal or credit may be lost.
Scholarships - Scholarships are usually awarded to students who have demonstrated a talent, interest, or exceptional ability in some area. Students apply for most scholarhips early in the Senior Year but efforts should begin in the ninth grade!
The HOPE Scholarship (for college) - reqires 3.0 grade point average and a college preparatory diploma. The HOPE grant (for technical school) is available to all students who pursue a certificate or diploma program.
