
Mission:
The Spanish Club of Temple High School promotes an understanding of international current events and Hispanic cultural differences among the student body. The club seeks to support and encourage Hispanic students in the process of assimilation to the educational system and culture of the United States. Non-Hispanic students are able to immerse themselves in the Spanish culture and language.
Activities:
The theme of the Spanish Club for 2009-2010 is reaching Spanish Fluency with Music. In each club meeting, Spanish will be practiced with Spanish tracks and music styles that will include mambo, flamenco, merengue, and salsa. Spanish dances salsa, merengue, bachata, and cumbĂa will be introduced.
