Temple High School senior, Malik Armstrong, signs with Fort Valley State.

Malik Armstrong was a two year starter at quarterback for Temple High School. During his senior year, he completed 72 passes out of 149 for a total of 1162 yards in a run orientated offense. He threw 11 touchdown passes. He also ran 73 times for a total of 70 yards rushing and 5 rushing touchdowns. Armstrong was chosen to play in the Georgia Southwest Bowl All-Star game played at McEachern High School.  Armstrong was chosen as Temple High’s Team MVP this year. He was named 2nd Team All-Region 5AA Quarterback, 2016 Times-Georgian All Area 2nd Team Captain, and was the recipient of the Golden Helmet Award presented by Coca-Cola for outstanding accomplishment in academic and athletic performance.
