Tiger Students & Parents,

An enthusiastic welcome to Temple High School is extended to each of you for the 2018-2019 school year! We have been busy this summer organizing for another school year which includes preparing the classrooms, studying test results, and developing plans to ensure success for each of you.

We are extremely excited to welcome Our New Tigers listed below:

Ms. Jessica Hok-Counselor (Coming Back to THS)

Mrs. Wanda Sumner-Business Education Team(Via Temple Middle School)

Mr. Neal Burkhart-Physical Education Team (Not new to THS, but new to the building)

Mr. Jake Shirley-Special Education Team-(NEW, OLD Tiger)

As you arrive on campus, you will notice the many renovations that have been completed over the summer at THS.   We are proud to unveil our new Agriculture Shop and Classroom. Our 100 hallway classrooms all have new ceilings and paint. Also our stadium wall is receiving a face lift with newly laid brick.   Please join me in thanking our Superintendent and School Board for their support with these projects.

Please consider joining us for open house tomorrow night Monday, Aug. 6th from 5-7 p.m.! This will be an excellent opportunity for you to tour our school, meet the teachers, and receive pertinent information to ensure the first day of school is successful.

Our school day will start at 8:25 a.m. with the tardy bell, and end at 3:30 p.m. as it did last year. Please help us by arriving to school on time daily. The car rider line will continue to be in the cafeteria parking, (closest entrance from Hwy 78.) Buses will continue to drop off in the horseshoe in front of the school. We ask that for the safety of the students that are coming off the buses, that car riders are not dropped off in the horseshoe.

Each new school year provides new opportunities. We are extremely excited about where Temple High School will go next. Last year we had the highest College and Career Ready Performance Index score in the West Georgia RESA Area and we were named a Governor’s Office of Student Achievement, Platinum Award Winning, Greatest Gains School . For the 3rd Consecutive Year, THS had a graduation rate of over 90%, one of the highest graduation rates in the area. With renewed goals, we will meet the new school year fully prepared to have our best school year to date!!! I eagerly anticipate your arrival at THS. Let’s make this a premier year!!!
